Caroline joined the practice in 1997 as a trainee, qualifying as a Solicitor and becoming a partner in 1999. She took over the practice in 2008.
Caroline has practiced in and around Torbay throughout her career gaining extensive experience in local property transactions.
In her spare time Caroline can be found attending local Churches to teach bellringing and enjoying real ales.

Julie qualified as a solictor in 2001 and practised for many years in the West Midlands before relocating to Devon.
She joined the Practice in 2019 and undertakes family law and Probate within the practice.
Outside the office, Julie is kept busy with her children and two Cockapoos. She is also a keen gardener and never misses an opportunity to be out in the garden or visiting National Trust gardens for inspiration.

Philip qualified as a solicitor in 1996. He practised in the South East of England before moving to Devon and then joining Roger Richards Solicitors in 2025.
He specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing and property law including freehold and leasehold, equity release mortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity and the granting and assignment of commercial leases.
Outside of the office, Philip enjoys gardening, travelling and classic cars.

Tara joined Roger Richards in 2023 and works closely with Caroline in the Conveyancing Department.
Tara qualified as a Conveyancing Technician in 2024 and is currently undertaking her exams to become a fully qualified Licenced Conveyancer.

Sarah has been a Legal Cashier for over 30 years and is our longest serving member of staff. She has been a Member of the Institute of Legal Cashiers & Adminstrators (ILCA) since 1988 and more recently the Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM).
Sarah manages the day to day running of the Accounts Department, including Banking, Billing, Invoicing and VAT.
Sarah is also one of our Mental Health First Aiders and helps to promote a healthy and happy working environment for all our staff.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys cooking, spa days and cocktails!

Guy joined Roger Richards Solicitors in 2001 after working in a number of management roles predominantly in Building Societies in various parts of the Country.
Returning to his home town of Brixham, Guy now runs our Brixham office and in addition to making appointments for clients, he deals with all advertising and marketing enquiries for the firm.
Out of the office Guy has a keen interest in bellringing. He enjoys walking, watching motor sports and socialising, especially with a pint of real ale or a decent glass of red wine!
