Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as Court fees.  We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.

As part of our fixed fee, we will:

  • Provide you with a dedicated and experienced fee earner to work on your matter
  • Identify the legally appointed Executors or Administrators and Beneficiaries
  • Accurately identify the type of Probate application you will require
  • Once we have received the relevant documents we will prepare the application (to reach this stage can take approximately four to six weeks from initial instruction)
  • Complete the Probate application and the relevant HMRC forms
  • Make the application to the Probate Court on your behalf (to reach this stage will take between four and eight weeks from initial instruction)
  • Obtain the Probate and securely send two copies to you

Who will deal with my matter?

Your matter will be dealt with by our Private Client Associate Legal Executive, Samantha Porter who joined the Institute of Legal Executives in 2010 and has practiced in this particular area of law for over 6 years.

How Long will this Take?

On average, to obtain a Grant of Probate takes 3-4 months.
