Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney

Making a Will

The importance of making a Will cannot be over-stated. Each Will prepared by Roger Richards Solicitors is tailor-made to meet the needs of the individual client and is written in a modern style using everyday English!

Supporters of the plain English campaign, our Wills are written to achieve your aim taking in to consideration your personal financial circumstances, family commitments and the need for careful tax planning. Prepared properly, a Will can save you thousands of pounds in inheritance tax to benefit your loved ones rather than the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

There are two forms of these: one for Personal Welfare and one for Property and Affairs. They allow you to appoint who you wish to deal with your financial affairs or make decisions about your personal welfare and property when you are unable to do so.

The benefit to you is that, once registered with the Office of the Public Guardian, it avoids the necessity to make costly applications to the Court of Protection for deputyship when a person is unable to manage their affairs.

Please ask for Kim Griffith for the benefits of LPA’s and other information on making or amending your will.
